Accor has taken over the former Renaissance London Gatwick Hotel and it will be re -branded as the Mercure London Gatwick as of the 23rd May 2008. The hotel is Accor’s third at Gatwick, joining Sofitel and Ibis hotels at the highly strategic transport hub.

(NYSE: MAR) has opened its 238-room Istanbul Marriott Hotel Asia, the first of its upscale Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand in Turkey under a franchise agreement with the Buyukhanli Group. The hotel is the first of its kind to open on the Asian side of Istanbul.
